Project HOPE

Dear Friends,

We're all witnessing how Japan is undergoing one of the worst catastrophes in her history. An earthquake and a devastating tsunami that wiped entire villages and killed thousands, and now a series of explosions from its nuclear plants.

A group of bloggers from the writing community (Rachael Harrie, Marieke, Luna, Tessa Quin and Amanda Milner) has come out with a noble idea and  formed WRITE HOPE, aimed at mobilizing forces amongst bloggers and readers to help in whatever way we can to alleviate the sufferings of those affected by the tsunami.

More details on Rachael's blog, and a special blog set up for this purpose. Pay them a visit, learn more, and help spread the word, please. And keep a close watch on Rachael's blog for further details.

Avec vous, le Japon!

Grandpa, it's wonderful what they are doing. Actually, I had planned to visit nice folks like you who had commented earlier, but, for some odd reason, got pulled into that direction. Funny how these things happen, eh?

I didn't blog about it but hub's had a bad case of the flu. Today's the first day he's been up and about with any energy. Gosh, what a winter this has been!

Hope you're doing well!!

Hi Kittie, that happened to me too - I was about to publish something I had written earlier (a happy story, which seems inappropriate now) when I came across Rachael's post.

I'm much better, thanks.

Now that you are back I hope you'll be reading some of my earlier posts.

Take care.

Thanks for sharing this! It's such a great idea, and I'll be sure to spread the word.

Her highness, Alison - I just learned from Marieke's post moments ago that response to this project has been awesome, and in her word 'magical'!

I'm very impressed with the organization as well - the auctions coming up, and the Relief Fund well in place and registered. Kudos to the organizers!

Excellent idea.

There is a place for positive posts at times like this as well though so try not feel bad if you decide to post your happy post that you have held back. x

Clarissa, please do - and you'll see that wonderful idea playing out very nicely...

Happy Frog and I, I agree with you, the world still evolves. And no, I didn't feel bad at all. My post is stand alone and has no bearing in terms of time - there's no urgency- whereas for this Project time is of essence, we need to spread the word quickly.

Hi Rach, you are welcome. I sincerely meant every word I said.
It is my pleasure too to support such kind gestures to the needy from all of you.

I will pass the word around for sure. I am always amazed at the generosity of human beings at times like this.

Thanks so much Rayna. With your tremendous followings I'm confident we'll get wide publicity for this.
