I was hoping to post some photos of our first durian and BBQ party for this season. Due to unforeseen circumstances the one scheduled for March 27 has been postponed to 1st May. (Update: may be brought forward to April 23).
I have however some pics from last season's (that time using Ricia's camera as I was not blogging actively yet).

Now for some durian. (This is not me, but that's how fallen durians are collected). |

I think this one was a wonderfull day!
It is so nice to see as in all the world the beautifull things are the same, and a days like this (grillen, fishen, to be with family, and play) is sure one of this things
Shame your BBQ has had to be postponed but I enjoyed seeing photos of the previous one!
nouvelles couleurs: Hi Laura, nice of you to visit! I have been following and appreciating your wonderful artwork, without commenting sometimes.
Yes, even though I like quiet living, I look forward to gathering with family and friends once in a while. I like music and songs too!
Thanks for stopping by. Take care.
Akelamalu: those are almost a year ago now. Great to see you here so soon! Take care.
Wow.. I did not even know that 27 March date.. and 1st May is the wedding day of my friend's daughter in Perlis.. will only be driving back on the 3rd.. so it looks like I am going to miss your Mosang King..
Sorry to hear this year's BBQ has had to be postponed, but I hope that you will have as good a time if not better then last years. Some great photos there Grandpa :-)
What lovely photographs depicting such a beautiful day. I could almost feel the peace and joy flowing off the screen. Thanks for sharing, Grandpa. Love those lazy early summer days.
Wan, March 27 was to be my second son's party - he and wife had invited their friends and families over to The Farm. Word got around and some others wanted to join too. Now the date being discussed is April 23rd - I think they can't wait that long!
(If you want to follow the conversations they are on FB: Ai Wai)
You are welcome anytime - it doesn't have to be a party, just bring your family and kids over - the rambutans are ready for picking too...give me a call?
Happy Frog and I: As I explained to Wan there that's only one of the gatherings arranged. As the season lasts for two months there will no doubt be a few more. Everybody's so busy sometimes it's hard to agree on a date. Thank you.
Joylene: Thank you. Yes, harvest festival on lazy summer days...food and fun outdoor, banters among family and friends, children's laughter...happy days.
Wow this looks like fun. It would be nice to have music at the next barbie i go to.
Well, our next party is on the 23rd - surely enough time for you to book your ticket?
We always try to have music with our get-together - preferably live ones.
Thanks for coming back Joanna, after I 'hit' you with that poser :) Take care.
Sorry it got postponed, but I'm sure it will be fun.
Greetings from Southern California
God bless you and have a nice day :-)
Seeing the durians carried on the back transported me to another era. Nice pics Grandpa.

Hey Grandpa, it took me 4 times to get the word verification to work. Do you really need it?
Denise<3
secret agent woman: I sure hope so. Thanks for stopping by;
Ron Joe White: Welcome to The Farm!
God bless you too. Have a nice day in sunny Southern California!
L'Aussie: Hi Denise, thank you - that is our modern day means of transport!
Sorry about the word verification, I think it came with the Blog format. I'll see if I can take it off. Ta
LOL.
I think I read the same post over at Denise's blog. And I went straight away and took off the word verification option, and changed so my comments appear in a different pop-up screen. Hope people find it easier!
So funny how we don't always think of these things until someone else makes the suggestion...
Your durian is beeeiutipul. Sedap?
Aishah, I'm just back from my son's place where his son Irfan had his birthday party. I brought some durian from the kebun and the guests enjoyed it. Flesh is yellow and thick and creamy, quite nice.
