Black Monday

Ah great! Monday is here at last!

The wait for the weekend to be over was agonizingly slow...

Sunday night was a sleepless one as you waited impatiently for dawn. At first light you are already at your table in the office.

It's kinda like the farmer sipping his morning coffee on the verandah watching the sunrise.

Mondays at the office are full of dramas.

There was this story where an office boy was clobbered by his colleagues on a Monday morning: He saw a group of office workers loitering around the water cooler, and had innocently asked: "Is today Friday?". Big mistake.

Friday is a day full of sadness. You are bidding good-bye to a beautiful week. You are not quite sure how to get over Saturday and Sunday before welcoming Monday again.

May be you should spend Saturday at the office. Then Monday will come sooner...

Hi Grandpa, how you doin'?
For me being retired everyday is a weekend....but still waking up around 6am. Purely out of habit.
You have fun and stay easy. Best regards, Lee.

Hi Lee, I'm doing great. For me too, everyday seems like Sunday, but hardwork Sunday though.
You too, have fun and stay well

Salam, Bangmat, I know that so please substitute Monday with Sunday as you (and semo ore Kelate hok baco blog ni) read this; similarly Friday becomes Saturday, and Thursday would be Friday.

Baru beli ike ayo buat nasi dage sikit. Selamat Aidil Adha Bangmat

Or Friday could be the day when you celebrate the lovely week you've just had. I find that it doesn't matter what day of the week it is, as long as you make the most of it. LOL! ;O)

Madeleine, you are right, that's another way of looking at it: Friday's for celebrating what you have achieved during the week. I guess that's why some say TGIF! LOL ;)

Mondays always came round too soon when I was working but now I'm retired all the days are the same! :)

Most mornings I wake up and can't remember what day it is. We are so busy that every day seems the same. All are equally blessed. I do want to get back to taking one day off a week this month. It will be easier once the greenhouse is finished and I can get the plants in there for protection.

From the first day of the week to the seventh, there is much to love and learn.

No Black Mondays here in the woods. Never had a water cooler type job, always been self employed, get to enjoy all the days of the week.

Grandpa loved the post, it made me smile on this not so Black Monday.

I still gotta work though in my workshop with a view looking into the woods : )

Have a great week

Every day of the week is good. Friday loses its significance when you retire I'm sure, but Mondays always get a bad rap. Mondays are awesome as they herald another working week! Yay..:)

Akelamalu,Faith,Compostpyle,L'Aussie - hey great to see you lovely ladies again! For retirees we are blessed with each passing day - a gift to be treasured and enjoyed.

I was trying to persuade those still working that if they truly love their jobs there shouldn't be such thing as Black Monday, in fact they should be looking forward to it!

I have to admit, I faced Monday with some trepidation - change of hats from weekend to Monday morning (from farmer to teacher). Thank you for the post, it made me smile.

NancyDe, I don't think many people are capable of doing what you are doing - work hard all weekend, and work even harder weekdays!

Glad you enjoyed the satire :)

The days of the week tend to run together these days! I often can't tell if it's Monday or Wednesday, let alone the date! And I am loving it :)

We belong to the same Club there, Pat, and I'm lovin' it too!
